Disclosing HIV Status To Your Sex Buddy Became Simple With This Blockchain Service

English geeks made disclosing HIV status before sexual intercourse simple with innovative online service using modern 'blockchain' technology.

An update to DoNotPay — a Facebook chatbot that assisted 250,000 people in challenging parking fines, and has since been combined with providing HIV legal advice. Also, a small online application has been made to help people to disclose HIV status before sexual intercourse securely. The developers used a blockchain, public, decentralised and anonymous record database. Such an app works with no charge and is being operated for free as a public service.

Not disclosing HIV-positive status is punishable by up to life imprisonment. Unfortunately, proving having disclosed is difficult, and there have been countless miscarriages of justice in this area.

The service delivers an easy solution to this problem. Once the partner has accepted disclosure, a user will receive a written record of the confirmation via email. There is another option to add this data to the blockchain database. The advantages are the record will exist, regardless of whether the email is lost, DoNotPay ceases to exist, or a phone carrier loses the record of the message. So there are strong, innovative, safety mechanisms protecting an HIV disclosure.

"Ultimately, I just want to level the playing field, so there's a bot for everything," Joshua Browder, the student who created DoNotPay says.
