The Life4me+ team members took part in the Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon having run 21.4 km. The participation in the event was devoted to raising awareness about HIV and destigmatization of people living with HIV.

The Life4me+ crew ran in branded T-shirts with an inspirational motto imprinted: "Life with HIV is possible! Ask me, I know how." Our aim was to convey the importance of the inclusion of people living with HIV in society.

"HIV is not a 'plague of the 21st century'. People living with HIV should not be afraid; such people can live a full life with a healthy lifestyle. It's crucial for us to inform the broad masses that people living with HIV need to be included in everyday life. They can run a marathon, work with you in the same company, be treated with you in one hospital. Children living with HIV can attend to school with other kids without posing a danger to them," said one of the Life4me+ crew member at the half marathon.

The Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon has already become a running tradition of the city and the international running community. This year more than 25 thousand fans of running from 50 countries met at the starting lines in four cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Lviv. The Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2017, which took place on April 9, 2017, is held for the seventh time. The race gathered about 10 thousand runners from different cities of Ukraine and the world. For the first time, the event received the status of the Championship of Ukraine in the marathon.
