HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Online Course at Coursera Review. Day 1 of 42.

HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Online Course at Coursera Review. Day 1 of 42. - picture 1

An outstanding HIV prevention online course on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) was launched on the Coursera platform by John Hopkins University School of Nursing on May 8. You are welcome to enroll.

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a daily practice that can be used by people who are HIV-negative to reduce their risk of becoming infected with HIV if they get in contact with the virus. PrEP is a pill taken once a day that can reduce a risk of getting HIV by 92-99% if taken every day. This practice completely changes the paradigm of HIV prevention, because now you can control your protection against HIV yourself and not worry about the status of a partner. It can be used for heterosexual, bisexual, gay and transgender individuals, and also by injection drug users and pregnant women.

So we’d like to pass this course on PrEP and share our experience. Let me introduce myself — my name is Ilya, I work in the Life4me+ team with communities of doctors and patients and also live with HIV for 15 years. Online learning has always inspired me, that’s why I started with it, and I’d like to share my reviews of the course on PrEP with the Life4me+ mobile App subscribers and blog readers.

Stay in touch!
