"The private sector is an essential partner to help UNAIDS and H6 to sustain and deliver the next generation of innovative financing solutions for global health," said UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé during the Innovation to Impact Forum and Marketplace in Geneva. He also noticed that "UN of tomorrow should be agile, sharp, insightful, and innovative."

Sidibé explained that "Small, flexible, nimble UN is the future and UNAIDS at the forefront of UN reforms in delivering transformational development for people. One of our biggest challenge today is how do we sustain our fragile gains. Innovations today central to ensuring equity of access. Financing innovations with community at the centre will help make universal health coverage a reality."

The Innovation to Impact Forum and Marketplace aims to develop innovative partnerships between governments, investment firms, the private sector and innovators.

The Innovation to Impact Platform is an initiative established under the leadership of UNAIDS in partnership with GHD, the ICV Group, BD and Johnson & Johnson. The platform aims to connect innovators from a range of sectors – pharma, diagnostics, technology (including mobile tech), financing and service delivery innovations – in identifying and adapting innovations that can help address and overcome implementation bottlenecks.

Life4Me+ CEO Alex Schneider presented the recently updated version of the application, which allows conveniently organize medication intake timetable and set concealed and personalized reminders to automatically remind about tests for STIs and taking drugs for pre-exposure HIV prevention – PrEP, to get doctor's prescriptions, and to schedule doctor's appointments or blood tests.
