Freddie Mercury: Show Must Go On

Freddie Mercury: Show Must Go On - pilt 1

Freddie Mercury, the legendary frontman of British rock band Queen would have turned 71 years old today. The songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "I Want to Break Free", "We Will Rock You", “We Are The Champions” are more than just songs for a number of generations. Freddie died because of AIDS twenty six years ago and this was the first time the World spoke so long and loud about the HIV epidemics.

An outstanding musician, one of the brightest stars of the 70's and 80's, died suddenly, at the height of his fame. Just a few days before Freddie's death, his manager reported that the singer had been diagnosed with HIV, but actually Freddie Mercury was already sick with AIDS.

In 1981 Mercury ordered to transfer all the rights to the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" to the foundation of Terence Higgins, created to confront HIV / AIDS epidemic.
